History of the Middletown Division of Police, Middletown, Ohio is filled with first-person stories from today’s officers and MPD retirees, filling out a rich history that began in 1834 when the first Marshal was appointed (and paid the princely sum of $5 a month). To gain insight into the cases that haunt them and how they let off steam, as well as what makes the department and its family members tick, Ann Mort spent two years interviewing everyone from past Chiefs through detectives, beat cops, jailers, administrative assistants, and dispatchers.
As a by-product of the research into the Police operation, a rather comprehensive list of 849 current and former members of the department was compiled and is included, along with a collection of crime statistics. $20 See below to order your copy today!
