Listening in...

I have about a forty-five minute commute to and from work each day, which is a lot of time to listen to people complain about each other, if I listen to the radio. I do enjoy a good binge-listen to audiobooks, but recently I've delved into the world of podcasts.
Okay, I know--podcasts aren't new. Hence the "pod." Do kids now even know what an iPod is?
But I can be a slow adopter of technology, and besides, my old phone had a crummy battery and little storage. Now I'm fully charged up and have like a mega-terabyte of space on my phone, I'm downloading podcasts like no body's business. I might take the long way home, I love listening so much.
I have a few self-help things on there--Lose 100 lbs with Phit n Phat is good. It's kind of a cheesy title, but Corrine Crabtree is the most f-bomb dropping no-bullshit weightloss coach person I've ever run across. And then Dr. Deb Butler offers a slightly different version of the same thing (not sure, but I THING Dr. Deb is the chicken to Corinne's egg).

I think, however, that simply LISTENING to weight loss podcasts isn't going to do much to move the needle on the scale.

Anyway.

The other podcast I listen to and absolutely love, is MY FAVORITE MURDER, with Georgia Hardstark and Karen Kilgariff
Picture

It's a comedy podcast about true, horrible, awful things that people do to each other.

Yeah. You just kind of have to be there. I love to hang out with Karen and Georgia, talk about terrible murders, and laugh, and laugh, and laugh.

This sounds awful. There's nothing good about psycho killers. So then why do we watch so much true crime? And read so many thrillers? Karen Slaughter, anyone?

Karen and Georgia are on tour right now, and My Favorite Daughter got us tickets to their live show in a couple of weeks (Happy Birthday to me!).

Do you listent to podcasts? What's your fave?

    Stella's Spotlight:

Hi, I'm Stella, the Stanley family's favorite brown dog. I'm a certified Therapy Pet, but I have pretty bad arthritis and don't get out much any more, so I'm going to bring you stories about great animals and people who do great animal things
